Details
- The rider/horse combinations are nominated by the nations.
- The rider/horse combinations must qualify according to specific FEI criteria.
- Each nation may enter up to five rider/horse combinations in Eventing.
- A team consists of three to four riders, each with one horse. The fifth rider competes as an individual.
- A nation that is unable to send a team may enter a maximum of two individual riders, each with one horse.
Jumping Test (Medal decision)
- As the final test of the competition, the rider/horse combinations complete the Show Jumping course in the Main Stadium.
- The course length is a maximum of 600 metres.
- The speed is set at 375 metres per minute.
- A total of 11 to 13 obstacles must be jumped.
- The riders start in reverse order of the individual results after the Dressage and Cross-Country Test.
In Eventing every rider/horse combination has to compete in these three disciplines: Dressage, Cross-Country and Show Jumping.
