The Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV) is intensifying its fight against the unauthorized sale of tickets. To take even more effective action against ticket scalpers going forward, the ALRV is collaborating with the renowned Munich law firm Lentze Stopper.

With the firm’s assistance, the ALRV will take comprehensive action against the black market for tickets and issue cease-and-desist letters to sellers. If necessary, criminal complaints will be filed and legal proceedings initiated. Visitors suffer the most from the often significantly inflated prices on the black market, and that is set to change. This will be achieved in particular through close monitoring of the secondary ticket market online. Tickets are offered on platforms such as Kleinanzeigen or Viagogo, often at a multiple of the regular price a clear violation of the ALRV’s Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions explicitly prohibit the resale of tickets. Sellers risk receiving a warning for violating the ALRV’s Terms and Conditions, and buyers risk paying a lot of money for invalid tickets that do not grant access to the event.
