Elegance, Acrobatics, Emotion: Vaulting at the FEI World Championships Aachen 2026

Welcome Home! From 11th to 23rd August 2026, the world of equestrian sport returns to the venue where it celebrated the biggest championships in its history at the 2006 World Equestrian Games. At the FEI World Championships Aachen 2026, the international elite will gather in the incomparable atmosphere of the Allianz Park to crown their world champions. Right at the heart of it all: the discipline of vaulting, which will determine its best in the Prize of Sparkasse from 13th to 16th August – four days full of suspense, spine-tingling moments and powerful emotions. Stadium 3, which normally hosts the dressage elite at the CHIO Aachen, will have a roof put over it specifically for the vaulting competitions, transforming it into a unique venue for these acrobats on horseback.

Strength, body control and absolute harmony between human and horse: vaulting is arguably the most dance-like of all equestrian disciplines – and at the FEI World Championships Aachen 2026 it will be one of the major crowd favourites. When the world’s best vaulters present their freestyle routines, the horse’s back becomes a stage and every movement an expression of emotion. Spectacular jumps, acrobatic elements and the finest coordination with their equine partner turn every performance into a goosebump-inducing highlight. Whether individual, pas-de-deux or team – here, sport, art and precision merge into a unique experience for the whole family.

German national coach Kai Vorberg is looking forward to this home World Championships with great anticipation: “Our great hope is that, with the 2026 World Championships, we can once again trigger a boom and inspire many children and young people to take up vaulting – just like back in 2006. The opportunity to present vaulting to a wide public is enormous, and we want to show just how diverse and fascinating our sport is.”

The spotlight will be on the reigning world champions, who will be aiming to defend their titles in Aachen, as well as on up-and-coming talents who will bring a breath of fresh air with creative choreographies and daring maximum-difficulty elements. Secure your tickets now in the online shop, by phone on +49-241-9171111 or directly at the office of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein. Experience live how medals are won, dreams come true and the Allianz Park becomes the beating heart of the vaulting world.
