FEI Jumping World Championship: Seven riders tie in the Allianz-Prize
While the world's best teams were celebrating Gold, Silver and Bronze last night, the two rounds of the Mercedes-Benz Prize also counted towards an individual ranking: the Allianz-Prize. Seven riders put in an immaculate performance – attaining double clear rounds.
The best riders in the world, the strongest nations, the most extraordinary horses – and a team final of the highest sporting calibre: Over two rounds, highly demanding courses featuring huge dimensions and technical complexities pushed athletes and their horses to peak performances. Out of 137 starters, only seven achieved perfection, jumping clear in both rounds without picking up any time penalties – an outstanding feat. The pairs, who delivered two immaculate clear rounds were: Armando Trapote with Tornado VS (Spain), Steve Guerdat with Dynamix de Belheme (Switzerland), Ben Maher with Point Break (Great Britain), Marcus Ehning with Coolio and Daniel Deußer with Otello de Guldenboom (Germany), Piergiorgio Bucci with Hantano (Italy), and Abdel Saïd with Wathnan Quaker Brimbelles Z (Belgium). All of these athlete-rider combinations impressively demonstrated precision, courage and nerves of steel, but above all, the perfect harmony between horse and rider. In recognition of these perfect performances, the seven athletes were honoured equally in the Allianz-Prize. Seven riders, seven horses, two rounds and fourteen clear rounds: This is more than merely a remarkable track record. It is impressive proof of the outstanding quality of the line-up and fascination of top-level international sport – right here in Aachen at the FEI World Championships 2026.
